Our lives are affected every day by decisions made by your city's Mayor and Councillors - the people who are elected every 3 years to represent you. In spite of this, voter turnout for Hamilton Council elections has been steadily declining. This year, a new crop of candidates will put their names forward for the 2019 Election. Last night Councillor Angela O’Leary gave a fact filled informative talk as she shared insights into why people don't vote and what can be done about it. She shared with members some of her 11 years' of elected experience and gave us tips on how to choose the right candidate to represent us.
