A major emphasis on fundraising saw further assistance to the Puketaha Trust Training Farm, and to Tonga’s Ha’apai College.

Geoff Martin’s Vocational Committee arranged speakers on retirement planning and also a rural-urban evening and auction.

The year’s significant fundraiser - and a highlight - was a public address by MP Colin Moyle titled Agriculture at the Crossroads.

A secondary schools’ Speech Contest involved nine schools.
