"Create Awareness and Take Action"
An active year saw a continuation of International Youth Exchange and Australian Matched Twin Exchange, hosting of Rotarians from the Dromana Club of Victoria, and GSE Team visits from UK and Brazil.

Elgar Henry’s Graffiti Cats continued their active involvement in Fairfield’s area.  Alan Jones produced his useful Fairfield Rotary Information Booklet. The Club won the District Attendance Trophy.
A visit to Waikato Hospital’s MRI Scanner was well attended, as was President Rob’s and Mary’s Pie, Poetry and Port Night.
Fundraising included the outdoor furniture raffle, Christmas pudding sales, and the Noisy Silent Auction.
The Millennium Project, a portico entrance to the Hamilton Gardens’ Music Conservatory, was formally opening by his Worship, Mayor Rimmington at a Gala Opera performance.

A Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to Gavin Petrie and a Fellowship Award made to Reg Speedy.
Graham Johnson was honoured as a Paul Harris Fellow.
