Shalini was nomonated for a civic award by the Rotary Club of Fairfield for her enthusiasm, dedication and effort in setting up the Science Box Club and programme to schools for young people aged 5 to 11. The Science Box Club webpage is available here <https://www.sciencebox.co.nz/>.
Shalini was personally congratulated by the Mayor and acknowledged as being the youngest recipient of the award.
