“Be a Friend”

Window on Waikato proved to be a high-profile event, raising over $7000 shared between Red Cross and the Club. The playhouse raffle was again a success, while Christmas puddings and Dinners for Six provided additional funds. An educational seminar organised by Russ Young, assisted by Bruce Simmons’ Youth Committee, raised over $1000.

RYPEN with Camp Directors Alan Jones and Stewart France was a great success. Five Vocational Awards were presented. Four welfare children were sponsored to the Waihi Anglican Youth Camp.

Donations were made to The Nest, Link House, The Waikato Cadet Unit, and Rotary Foundation.

Peter Mackay was honoured with a Paul Harris Fellow
