The International Service Committee under Alan Jones accepted the challenge of providing a Home Economics Classroom at Mu’a College. Five other clubs in Districts 992 and 993 joined in this $21000 project which taught new construction skills to the Tongans.
A Careers night at Fairfield College brought students and employers together and over 30 pupils took up job offers.
Sir Edmund Hillary to addressed the Club - a guest speaker highlight.
Matched Twin Exchanges continued. A Pancake Breakfast raised $370, and Club members planted trees at Sunningdale Veterans’ Home and at a council park.
