1972-1973

President - Stuart Timpany

"Lets Take a New Look"

Under Stuart's guidance the Club continued to thrive. Membership grew to 37 and attendance averaged 93%, enough to win the District Attendance Trophy.

Considerable emphasis was placed upon Rotary Information and the guidance provided by the Manual of Procedure.

Arthur White arranged inter-club visits, sharing fellowship with Waihi, Te Awamutu, Thames and Putaruru.

The year's highlight was a delightful "Pignic" to celebrate the obtaining and sending to Tonga five beautiful breeding pigs which were to provide vital new genetic blood to Tonga's pig industry. The pigs were suitably named "Fairfield Stuart the First", plus "Fairfield Judy", "Bill", "Janet' and "May" [Ward].

It was a proud year indeed of Rotary fellowship and service.
